Brightshores Research Institute is proud to participate in the 2025 Home Care Ontario Symposium on November 27, 2025 in Toronto.

Neil MacLean, Executive Director, will be a featured panelist at this important event. He will share valuable insights alongside senior leaders, clinical professionals, researchers, and policymakers about the future of home care in Ontario.

This year’s theme, Home Care for the Future, reflects a growing urgency: Ontario’s senior population is expected to increase by 15% over the next five years. To meet this demographic shift, the province must build a stronger, more accessible, and more sustainable home care system that reflects the diverse needs of all Ontarians.

Grounded in Brightshores Research Institute’s mission to advance rural healthcare and wellness through innovation and collaboration, Neil will highlight both the unique strengths of rural communities and the persistent systemic challenges they face in healthcare delivery. He will focus on advancing equity, access and transformation, ensuring that rural realities remain central to shaping Ontario’s future home care system. These priorities are essential for building a healthcare system that is truly inclusive, effective, and responsive to all communities.  And we can’t do it alone.

The Symposium offers an important space for meaningful dialogue and action. It brings together leaders and stakeholders from across the health spectrum, including home care service providers, Ontario Health, long term care, acute care, and the Ministry of Health.

Brightshores Research Institute is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this timely and impactful provincial exchange of ideas and solutions.
